HUNTINGTON — It may be just as well that Jon Elmore didn’t get that triple-double Tuesday night at Chattanooga. Those aren’t so enjoyable in defeat.
As it was, Elmore scored 27 points and set career highs in assists (12) and rebounds (nine). He had a shot at a 10th rebound late in the game, but wisely let an errant Mocs shot go out of bounds.
“I knew I was close; after the game they told me about it,” Elmore said. “I kind of wish I had grabbed that rebound now. [But] we didn’t win, and that comes back to the team.
