HUNTINGTON — He’s listed at 5-foot-8, but Donquell “Gator” Green might beg to differ.
He wasn’t militant about it, but the sophomore from Waynesboro, Georgia, can use all the height he can get. And all the good reps, if he wants to get on the field at a receiver position.
He’s a prototypical slot receiver in Marshall’s offense, but he has been working at the outside “Z” position the past two workouts. That put him in a threesome with incumbent Deon-Tay McManus and 6-foot-4 Raylen Elzy.
The slot has been manned by Josh Knight and Nick Mathews.
