HUNTINGTON — With a first-team all-conference honor in his pocket, Marshall point guard Jon Elmore has a little unfinished business.
The former South Charleston and George Washington standout was named to the first unit on the All-Conference USA team, revealed Monday. Teammate Ryan Taylor is on the third team.
As the Thundering Herd begins C-USA tournament play Wednesday night in Birmingham, Alabama, Elmore is determined to play better this time around. The sixth-seeded Herd (17-14) takes on No. 11 Florida Atlantic (10-19) at 9 p.m., with the game streaming live on CampusInsiders.com.
Last March, Elmore scored 12 points but hit just 4 of 12 from the floor and had five turnovers versus three assists against Texas-El Paso.
