HUNTINGTON — Stevie Browning said all along he would be more comfortable when he was able to move from point guard to shooting guard.
As expected, Jon Elmore became eligible and took over the point for Marshall. Browning, on cue, stayed in the starting lineup and moved to the “two.”
It took a few games, but the promised comfort level set in. Browning scored 17 points against Grand Canyon, followed by 11 at Maryland.
And 14 against Western Kentucky. He tied his season- and MU-high of 18 against Florida Atlantic.
Two games later, he topped that with 19 at North Texas.
