The Marshall women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to North Texas Thursday evening at Hoops Family Field in Huntington.
With the loss, the Herd fell to 2-7 overall (0-2 Conference USA), while the Mean Green improved to 5-2-1 (1-0 C-USA).
North Texas took the lead early as Katie Gernsbacher chipped in a goal from 25 yards out to put the Mean Green up 1-0 just 11 minutes into the match.
Marshall had chances in the second half, peppering North Texas keeper Brooke Bradley with three shots in a five-minute span, but came up empty. Bradley finished with five saves.
