HUNTINGTON — The Herd led by two at the end of the first quarter, trailed by four at the half and had only creeped back to minus-3 as the game entered the fourth quarter. But in the Cam Henderson Center, two former Huntington Highlanders took control down the stretch, as seniors Talequia Hamilton and Kiana Evans helped the Thundering Herd of Marshall to outscore Florida A&M by 28-to-15 in the final quarter to walk away with a 77-67 win and a perfect start to the season.
The Herd improved to 6-0 in season openers under fifth year Head Coach Matt Daniel with the upset win at Big Ten member Illinois last week.
