HUNTINGTON – After a 24-hour delay due to heavy snow and tough driving conditions, the Marshall women’s team hosted Old Dominion on Sunday in Conference USA basketball at the Cam Henderson Center.
652 hearty souls turned out to watch the Herd turn a 7-point halftime lead into a 59-43 lead at the end of three quarters – thanks to a 14-2 run in the third period – on the way to a 80-62 win over the Monarchs. MU was led by redshirt sophomore Taylor Porter of nearby Fort Gay, W.Va. with 18 points, and got 15 points from senior point guard Norrisha Victrum and 14 points from former Huntington High and Cincinnati junior transfer Talequia Hamilton in the win.
