HUNTINGTON — Marshall’s young defensive tackle corps will face a tall, tall task when they face Louisville and the beefy, blue-collar offensive line of Pittsburgh.
But that’s a long month away. For now, the big guys’ big task at hand comes Saturday, at the Thundering Herd’s second officiated scrimmage.
Closed to the public, this scrimmage will test the four defensive tackles vying for playing time. It likely will be longer than the 76-play scrimmage of a week ago, and temperatures are expected to approach 95 degrees.
Jason Smith has not been practicing in contact, so the four tackles in question are Nyquan Harris, Joe Massaquoi, Tomell One and Channing Hames.
