Quarterback Thomas Woodson threw for 379 yards and four touchdowns as visiting Akron cruised to a 65-38 win against Marshall on Saturday in Huntington.
For Marshall (1-1) quarterback Chase Litton completed 32 of 57 passes for 413 yards and four touchdowns, but also threw three interceptions. For the Zips (2-1), JoJo Natson caught seven passes for 134 yards and a touchdown in the win.
