BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The locals may not stick around for the late show Thursday night, as their Alabama-Birmingham team plays earlier, during the lunch hour.
One thing for certain: Those who stick around will see a show by this flamboyant Marshall basketball team.
The highest-scoring team in Conference USA history will be entertaining, whether it shoots 60 percent, 35 percent or anything in between. Whether it can survive and advance Thursday night in the C-USA tournament quarterfinals, that’s the bigger question.
Should Marshall win in what likely will be a difficult matchup, the issue of winning back-to-back and back-to-back-to-back will arise.
