HUNTINGTON — Marshall has enjoyed a perfect week-plus of weather for spring football practices, but Tuesday’s workout had that late-August “dog days” feel to it.
It was the Thundering Herd’s 10th of 15 workouts, and the first after the team’s first tackle-to-the-ground scrimmage. A physical and/or mental wall emerges and players must play through it or else.
Coach Doc Holliday, in his seventh spring at the MU helm, knows this well, but he won’t let his troops let up. For the most part, he said Wednesday’s practice went well.
