HUNTINGTON — His finals are over, and the wait is on for C.J. Burks.
Will he pass those finals and do well enough in his classes to rejoin the Marshall basketball team in games? The sophomore from Hedgesville High doesn’t think that’s a problem.
“Yes, sir. A’s and B’s,” he said Thursday before practice.
Burks became academically ineligible after a poor spring semester, and has had to make up the deficit since. He has been allowed to practice, but cannot play until he regains eligibility at the end of the fall semester.
The last finals at the university are Friday, with grades to be posted by noon Monday.
