NORFOLK, Va. — Trying to breathe life into its gasping-for-air football season, Marshall is taking on Conference USA’s second-youngest program.
But Thundering Herd fans might not want a rehash of how things went against the league’s youngest program.
The loss to Charlotte two weeks ago helped lead the Herd to its predicament, an unexpected 2-6. A loss Saturday night to Old Dominion would push MU out of the postseason picture with three weeks to spare.
That’s not the focus in the Herd camp, though. The goal is to play its best game of the season and beat an ODU team that isn’t quite the pushover it was two years ago.
