Marshall University has announced senior safety Tiquan Lang has been dismissed from the football program.
In a statement, head coach John “Doc” Holiday said that Lang was dismissed “due to a violation of team rules and policies.”
Lang was a key piece of the Marshall defense last season. In 11 games, the safety recorded 91 total tackles and two interceptions. Lang also helped Marshall to victory in week one over Purdue with two interceptions returned for touchdowns, one of which came in the game’s final moments, helping seal the 41-31 win for the Herd.
