COLUMBUS, Ohio — Marshall’s men’s basketball team got everything it could handle from Ohio State, and then some, in a 111-70 road loss in the title game for the Global Sports Invitational.
The Thundering Herd (4-1) played without senior forward Ryan Taylor, who was suspended by head coach Dan D’Antoni after being ejected from the team’s win Monday over Jackson State. That allowed the Buckeyes to go to work in the post at Value City Arena.
“Ryan is a huge piece for us,” junior guard Jon Elmore said. “A senior leader. [He’s] a guy who starts a lot of stuff on offense and really provides a lot on defense.
