Marshall 2-0 C-USA, Win At FAU Powered By Taylor’s Double-Double

HUNTINGTON — The Thundering Herd spent the last 13 days living out of its suitcase, with four road games over that period. The Herd’s 89-72 win at Florida Atlantic moved the team to a 2-0 start and a first place tie in Conference USA with Old Dominion (9-4), who the Herd will face on Thursday, Jan. 5, in the Cam Henderson Center, and with WKU (8-7), who will visit Huntington on Jan. 21. But those tough losses at then No. 23 Cincinnati (93-91 in OT) and at the ACC’s Pittsburgh (112-106 loss), along with a non-conference schedule with six teams in the top 100 of RPI (and only two teams with plus-200 RPI and at Ohio State in Global Sports Challenge), got the Herd ready to head to Miami and Boca Raton in south Florida and get big wins over C-USA teams.
