Marshall will wear a throwback version of the Thundering Herd’s 1971 helmet against Middle Tennessee on Saturday.
HUNTINGTON — The snortin’ baby bison and that unique interlocked “MU” was hiding out or a decade. The logo starred in the movie “We Are Marshall,” but has been retired since.
Much like the 1971 team it symbolized, you can’t keep a good logo down forever. That logo has come out of retirement.
It has been 45 years since the Young Thundering Herd helped pull a community out of its mourning of the Nov.
