CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Marshall volleyball team fell to Indiana State in five sets Saturday (17-25, 25-23, 25-16, 19-25, 8-15). Marshall (4-3) finished the weekend 2-1 and came in second in the West Virginia Capital Classic to Indiana State (4-2). The Sycamores finished 2-1 for the weekend but took the tie-breaker with the win over Marshall.
“It’s obviously disappointing to have a team do what we have done the last two matches be down 2-1 and come back and beat you,” Marshall coach Mitch Jacobs said. “But it has to be a lesson to our team because we have to understand that the match isn’t over until it’s over.
