NORFOLK, Va. — The old saying is, “They won the battle, but lost the war.”
That might be exactly how the Old Dominion men’s basketball locker room is feeling right now, as Virginia Beach native and ODU senior guard Trey Freeman hit a career-high 37 points, while redshirt sophomore forward Brandan Stith scored nearly double his 8.0 per game average with a season-best tying 15 points and junior forward Denzell Taylor pulled 13 rebounds against his average of 6.8 per game.
