Marshall came out of the lockerroom dressed in the best uniforms ever seen in Huntington on Saturday night. Outfitted in all black, there were 75 names inscribed right down the center of each helmet, a reminder of the lives lost on November 14, 1970 in the plane crash that took the entire football program with it and left an indelible mark on Huntington.
In the end, Marshall beat Western Kentucky by a 30-23 margin.
