Herd roll past Old Dominion Monarchs for homecoming victory

The Thundering Herd rolled past the Old Dominion Monarchs during Saturday’s homecoming matchup, securing a win with a final score of 35-3.

“Anytime you can play great defense, special teams and not turn the ball over on offense we’re happy with the outcome,” head coach Doc Holliday said. “During the second half our guys ran the ball well and did what we are capable of doing.”

In the win, Kaare Vedvik set a new school record. He had the longest punt in Herd history as he booted a 92-yard rocket to the opposite end zone. Vedvik helped the Herd in the win by pinning the Monarchs on many occasions deep in its end zone and broke some records while doing so.
