HUNTINGTON — Suddenly, it all came together.
For six games, through six losses, Marshall head coach Dan D’Antoni told Herd fans to be patient with his team — there were a lot of newcomers, lots of guys who didn’t play last year, some lost to injury already this season and once they started making threes, the offense would open up.
For the third consecutive game, the Herd played lights out on offense, wore down a team in the second half and picked up a third straight win to give the program some much needed momentum for the rest of the non-conference schedule — starting on Thursday night in Charleston against Big 12 Conference denizen West Virginia, No 14 in the nation and 8-1 on the season.
