DENTON, Texas — Shayna Gore scored a game-high 23 points, including a 7-for-8 clip from the free-throw line, to lead visiting Marshall to a 60-57 win over host North Texas Saturday at the UNT Coliseum. The win snapped a nine-game losing streak for the Thundering Herd, who improved its record to 13-16 overall and 5-13 in Conference USA. The Mean Green dropped to 11-18 and 8-10 in the league.
Gore had help in the win from senior Talequia Hamilton scoring 11 points, six rebounds, two steals, an assist and a block. Fellow Huntington senior Kiana Evans had seven points and seven rebounds while Logan Fraley had three steals and three points.
