Two months ago, even that seemed laughable, as the Thundering Herd was begging for a win over anybody.
Today, the laughing has subsided, as the Herd stands at the top of the C-USA standings at 7-1, sharing the summit with the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The teams tip off at noon today at Cam Henderson Center, with CBS Sports Network televising.
By the end of the afternoon, one will stand alone.
“Big game [today],” forward Ryan Taylor said Thursday after the Herd downed Middle Tennessee. “We enjoyed the crowd tonight, the crowd was great tonight.
