HUNTINGTON — When Todd Goebbel was reassigned to coach Marshall’s quarterbacks, he had one quick advantage: He knew all the men in the room, or at least the scholarship players.
That wasn’t the case in his previous coaching job. After finishing his first stint at MU, he went to Division II Ohio Dominican as offensive coordinator. He was pretty much a stranger at the Columbus school as preparation began for the 2010 season.
“It was kind of an open cabinet,” he said. “My first day, I called my offense over and these guys ran to me and I said, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t believe I took this job.
