Marshall senior guard Jon Elmore scored a career-high 44 points, tied for sixth-most in the program’s history, on Thursday to help the Herd defeat the UTEP Miners, 91-86.
Elmore said postgame that his teammates did a great job in keeping him in good situations.
“It felt good,” he said. “We played our style of ball. The ball was moving. It didn’t stick. We finally made some shots as a team. I know I finally made some shots. I felt like I wanted to cry at some points to finally see the ball go through the bottom of the net.
