HUNTINGTON — The Thundering Herd of Marshall wrapped up its 15th and final practice of the spring of 2016 as the April showers fell continuously on the 3,652 damp fans who turned out at the Joan C. Edwards Stadium to wrap up a weekend of fun for Herd football fans.
A sold-out Big Green Banquet on Friday night, honoring the top plays and student-athletes of 2015-16 for Marshall as well as celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 1996 football team winning the National Championship gave way to a rainy Saturday that began at the Memorial Fountain.
