HUNTINGTON — As Marshall conducts its first scrimmage of the preseason Saturday, it’s time for the young quarterbacks to show what they can do without hearing from on-field coaches every play.
That means it’s a debut of sorts for Garet Morrell.
And Xavier Gaines.
And the sophomore version of Chase Litton.
Yes, it’s a brave new world for Litton, the 6-foot-6 sophomore from Tampa, Florida. When the Thundering Herd convenes Saturday afternoon, Litton will carry a wealth of hard-earned knowledge from his freshman season.
But that knowledge is expanding rapidly. Litton wants it, and offensive coordinator Bill Legg is demanding it.
