IRVING, Texas – Marshall senior Chase Boster has been named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week after he tossed his second complete game of his career with a career-high eight strikeouts against Old Dominion on Thursday.
The Stafford, Va., native allowed two earned runs on five hits and led the Thundering Herd to a 5-3 win over the Monarchs. The win allowed Marshall to set a new program record for victories in a season with 31 wins, now 32. The Herd broke the record of 30 wins that was set by the 2008 squad.
