Baseball Sweeps Middle Tenn, Sets Record For C-USA Wins
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Marshall took a doubleheader from the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee on Saturday, winning the first game in a 7-inning rout, 25-9, and coming back with three in the eighth of game two to win 6-5.
It is the Herd’s first three-game C-USA sweep of the year and its fifth win in a series in seven outings.
With the 11-1 win on Friday night in the opener, Marshall improves to 24-17 on the year and 13-8 in Conference USA — a new record for wins in a single C-USA season for the Herd, which joined the league for baseball in 2006.
