The first edition of the college football playoff rankings came out on Tuesday, and would you look at this? Five of the top nine teams in the rankings are on the road today. Three of them — Penn State, Clemson, and Oklahoma — will be tangling with teams also ranked in the top 25. That’s a precipitously high chance of losses throwing the rankings completely out of whack almost immediately after issuing them.
While there’s a lot of top ranked teams on the road on this fine Saturday, the top three teams are all at home.
