The Marquette women’s tennis team ended a two-match losing streak this weekend with a 7-0 win over Green Bay, while the men’s team lost 6-1 to No. 64 Purdue.
The women’s team got off to a fast start Saturday, clinching the doubles point with a 6-2 win from first doubles duo Silvia Ambrosio and Erin Gebes and a 6-1 win from second doubles pair Diana Tokar and Paula Tormos Sanchez.
“We needed to come out and win the doubles point. That was huge,” said women’s head coach Jody Bronson. “We have been struggling with that and it set a really good tone.
