For the first time in 14 seasons as a member of the BIG EAST, Marquette women’s soccer will not be playing in postseason.
Marquette’s 0-0 tie with Creighton Sunday, along with Providence and DePaul wins, ensured the team’s first absence from the six-team field.
The Bluejays had an 20-14 shot advantage and a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal over the Golden Eagles. Marquette did not have a shot on goal until the 53rd minute.
Marquette goalkeeper Maddy Henry had four saves in her hometown. Marquette had an additional two team saves, which totaled to six.
