Wally Ellenson, a 6-foot-6 redshirt junior guard, will not be a part of the Marquette men's basketball team next season, according to a source. A dual-sport athlete in basketball and track and field — Ellenson is a four-time All-American in the high jump — he has one season of indoor track eligibility left entering 2016-'17 and can remain at Marquette on a full athletic scholarship if he chooses.
Ellenson, who transferred to Marquette in 2014 after spending two years competing in both sports at Minnesota, appeared in 29 of Marquette's 33 games this season. His games played and total minutes (254) were both collegiate-highs, and he averaged 1.
