Marquette volleyball’s match against Seton Hall started two hours earlier than initially planned, but that did not phase the Golden Eagles, who defeated the Seton Hall Pirates in straight sets (25-19, 25-19, 25-22).
In the first set, Seton Hall had the early momentum and came out with a quick 10-6 lead. However, after head coach Ryan Theis called a timeout, the Golden Eagles won eight of the next 10 points to take a 14-12 advantage. The Golden Eagles eventually finished the set 25-19.
Seton Hall and Marquette were tied 12-12 in the second set, but a 6-2 run helped the Golden Eagles separate themselves and then win the set 25-19.
