On Tuesday night, YOUR Marquette Golden Eagles defeated a #1 ranked team for just the second time in program history. As is usually the case when an unranked team beat the #1 team in the country, the court got stormed.
The Big East officially fined MU for that happening, in accordance with conference policy. The $5,000 fine is going directly to Camp Hometown Heroes, which is head coach Steve Wojciechowski’s charity of choice.
That’s all stuff we knew already, though. What you may not be aware of is that there is a GoFundMe set up to match the fine and double the amount going to the camp.
