Washington — When Marquette suffered a 28-point drubbing against Iowa on Nov. 19, it prompted significant changes.
Coach Steve Wojciechowski stripped the team of its practice gear, switching the uniform to white T-shirts and plain shorts. He shuffled the starting lineup, opting to go with three freshmen, a sophomore and a junior. On a cool November night in New York, he took his team outside to McLaughlin Park for a walk-through and motivational talk.
A nine-game win streak followed those changes. The blue-collar practice outfits for players and staff have stayed and Wojciechowski has stayed with the new starting lineup.
