Resilience, team bonding helps men’s soccer improve in away games

After Marquette men’s soccer defeated Xavier University Sept. 27 in comeback fashion, the Golden Eagles found themselves in a unique position. Marquette won two regular-season road games for the first time in four years and won consecutive road games for the first time since 2012.

“It’s a mentality to be able to take care of some of the important details about recognizing when you’re on the road,” head coach Louis Bennett said. “To win two (in a row) on the road has been a rarity.
