Joe Amplo is one of three coaches who was on Princeton’s campus to interview for their head coach position according to Ryan Denehy. Also interviewing was Hobart’s Greg Raymond and Amherst’s Jon Thompson.
Amplo is the only head coach in Marquette lacrosse’s short history. He took over the helm in 2011 and has already turned Marquette lacrosse from a start-up to a lacrosse power. He’s gone 32-29 in his four seasons of play, earning the team’s first BIG EAST title and NCAA Tournament berth this season.
