The 19/18 Marquette Golden Eagles (3-2) extended its losing streak to two games after getting clobbered 12-2 by the Robert Morris Colonials (4-2) at Valley Fields.
The Colonials dominated the game right out of the gate, ending the first quarter with a staggering 7-0 lead. Although the Golden Eagles were able to solve early problems defensively, the second quarter wasn’t much different offensively as the teams split a pair of goals heading into halftime at 8-1.
Defensively, Marquette were out of sync the entire first half, allowing Colonial attackers to continuously split the defense and find the back of the net on open shots.
