ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Jaisa Nunn converted a three-point play with 1.8 seconds to play and finished with a career-high 39 points, giving New Mexico an 88-87 upset win over No. 16 Marquette on Monday night.
Cherise Beynon missed a jumper from the foul line but Nunn grabbed the rebounded over Natisha Hiedeman on the right side of the lane and flipped the ball in before tumbling to the court.
Alllazia Blockton's long 3-pointer was off target at the buzzer for Marquette (0-1).
Nunn made 14 of 15 shots, 11 of 12 free throws and had a career-best 13 rebounds.
