The Big East’s first weekly awards for women’s soccer in 2017 were announced on Monday, and Marquette has started things off on the right foot. Sophomore goalkeeper Maddy Henry was named to the Weekly Honor Roll for Week #1 of the season.

Henry helped Marquette to a 1-1 week with a win over Kentucky and a loss to No. 2 Stanford, while making a total of 11 saves, including a career-best nine against the Cardinal. The sophomore made two stops in Sunday’s 2-1 win over the Wildcats.
