New week, new set of weekly awards from the Big East. This time around, it’s Marquette sophomore Maddy Henry being named Women’s Soccer’s Goalkeeper of the Week. It’s the second straight week that Henry has earned recognition from the conference after being on the Honor Roll last week.
Here’s what the league office had to say about Henry’s performance:
Henry recorded back-to-back shutout victories for the Golden Eagles last week, highlighted by a four-save clean sheet at Louisville on Sunday. The sophomore totaled five saves on the week as Marquette topped Drake 3-0 and the Cardinals 2-0 to improve to 3-1-0 on the season.
