Marquette Women’s Soccer Pulls Off The Win Vs Cal Poly

Carrie Madden scored the first goal of her collegiate career in the 84th minute on Friday night to give Marquette a 3-2 win over Cal Poly. The win moves the Golden Eagles to 3-4-2 on the season as MU wins their first match in the 2016 Marquette Invitational.

Things were looking like they were going to overtime after Cal Poly had rallied to wipe out a 2-0 Marquette halftime lead. Marquette got a big push down the field right after head coach Markus Roeders subbed Liz Bartels, Molly Pfeiffer, and Madden back into the match, and all three women participated in the action leading to Madden’s game winner.
