Back on March 7th, Marquette women’s soccer went down to Chicago, got outshot 16-6 by DePaul, and won, 2-0. Maybe a bit lucky, but a win is a win is a win.
Turns out these things have a boomerang effect.
Way back on Thursday (it’s Sunday now, sorry, y’all), Marquette went down to Indianapolis for a match against Butler. They got outshot 21-5 and, thanks to a goal in the 84th minute, took their first loss of the season by a margin of 1-0. MU is now 3-1-0 on the year and 1-1-0 in Big East action.
