Marquette women’s lacrosse unleashed holy hell upon Canisius in the back end of the first half on Friday afternoon, ripping through seven unanswered goals before finally winning 19-8. With the win, Marquette is now 5-4 on the season.
We got a nice competitive lacrosse game for the first 15 minutes or so in Buffalo, with the Golden Eagles building themselves a 5-4 lead. That’s when the smashy smashy started. From the 15:40 mark of the first half all the way down through the 28 minute mark of the second, Marquette popped off nine consecutive goals, with seven coming before the halftime horn sounded.
