Seven players recorded multi-goal games as Marquette women’s lacrosse set a new record high for goals in a game as they defeated Kennesaw State 20-7 on Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Eagles are now 2-3 on the season, while the Owls drop to 0-2.
For a bit in the early going, it seemed like we might be in for a back-and-forth contest. Marquette scored the first three goals of the game, and Kennesaw State answered back with two of their own to make it 3-2 after 12 minutes. That’s when Marquette kicked it into gear.
