Marquette bridged halftime with a 23 minute scoreless streak on Friday afternoon as they lost 11-5 to Denver. MU's record falls to 3-6 on the season with the loss.
Things started out just fine for Marquette with Julianna Shearer, Amanda Bochniak, and Allison Lane scoring in the first 18 minutes of the game. Lane's goal, her 16th of the season, gave Marquette a 3-2 lead at the time. It would also be Marquette's last goal of the half as they gave up four straight to the Pioneers, including one to Casey White with six seconds left in the half.
