With just one run of the mill #BEATEMDOWN on the schedule over the past week, it’s no surprise that Marquette women’s basketball stayed at #22 in the newest Associated Press top 25 poll.
The Golden Eagles shook off a venue change sprung on them at the last minute to triple up UIC on Saturday, 96-32. It was Marquette’s only game of the week, and so you can’t fault the AP voter collective for keeping MU in the same spot as last week. Marquette picked up 137 points in this week’s poll, dropping them neatly between the 148 points for #21 Miami, who jumped up from #24 thanks to wins over Nebraska and Temple, and the 93 points for #23 Iowa State, who are new into the poll this week.
