Here’s the good news about the 2019-20 Marquette women’s basketball season thus far: They’re 3-0.
Head coach Megan Duffy has taken a roster with very little experience playing together and gotten three wins out of them, and all were by at least 17 points. I don’t care who the opponents were, that’s good news.
With the next three games, things get significantly more difficult. A team with most of its cast returning from a deep postseason run comes into the McGuire Center on Thursday night, and that will be followed next week with the first road game of the season against the most dominant team in the Horizon League.
